Annotation
The current state of development of property law shows not only promising areas for further research, but also the gap that has formed between the levels of development
of legislation and the theoretical elaboration of the issue. The practices of teaching property law that have developed almost everywhere in Russian universities poorly realize
the possibilities of modern pedagogy, which leads to the dogmatization of knowledge, the difficulty of assimilation and practical use of acquired knowledge in specific life circumstances. The purpose of this article is to discuss in a single context the problems of understanding, studying and teaching property law at the present stage.
