Annotation
The article reveals some issues of the development of the institute of international legal responsibility at the present stage. Special attention is paid to the role of the UN
International Law Commission in the development of this institution. The purpose of the article is to study certain aspects of the development of the institution of responsibility in international law in the light of current international legal issues. This goal predetermined the formulation of such tasks as: to determine the importance
of the institution of responsibility for international law as a whole, using the example of the activities of the UN International Law Commission to show how the topic of responsibility is being developed at the international level, to consider the problem of responsibility in the context of countering global threats. As a result of the work, the Institute of international legal responsibility is assessed as the most important institute of international law, which has been very significantly affected by the crises of international law, the importance of international legal science for the development of the institute of responsibility is substantiated, the key characteristics of international responsibility at the present stage are given.
