Annotation
The article reveals the nature of legal values, their content, the idea of law as a value and its value criteria. The main trends typical of the value system in connection with the challenges of our time are analyzed. It is summarized that in the conditions of the growing systemic crisis, the choice of the path of development of the state, which the preservation of traditions based on the system of values of the particular society and their development in accordance with the challenges of our time will depend on.
