Annotation

The article analyzes the problematic issues of the systematization of notarial legislation in the Russian Empire. The Provisional Regulation on the notarial part of 1866 is analyzed. The features of this normative legal act are disclosed. An attempt to reform the legislation on notaries at the beginning of the twentieth century is shown. The conclusion is made about the incomplete nature of the systematization of pre-revolutionary notarial legislation.
