Annotation
The article shows the content of presentations at two scientific conferences held as part of the Second Scientific Session of the Association of Legal Historians in 2025. The session was held in the city of Pokrov, Vladimir region, and included two events: the All-Russian Scientific Conference «Small Towns in the Historical and Legal space of Russia: experience, traditions, prospects» and the section «Historical enlightenment as the basis of legal and patriotic education of children and youth» within the framewor of the XVII International Scientific and Practical Conference «Shamov Readings». The key provisions of the reports on small towns and their role in shaping the social, historical and
legal space of Russia at various stages are outlined. The main directions of the discussions on historical enlightenment, its role in the development of higher education, as well as the potential of modern digital technologies in the education of young people are shown.
