Annotation
The article presents an overview of the Second All-Russian Forum of Legal Historians, a landmark scientific conference held in St. Petersburg on June 9–10, 2023. With the help of general scientific methods of cognition, the main task of the article is solved — to identify and show the main directions of the conference, to summarize the positions expressed by its participants. It is proved that the main topic that sounded in most of the reports was the issue of modernization of the methodology of historical and legal research, models of combining classical and postclassical scientific methods. The informative, innovative nature of the resolution adopted by the forum participants is emphasized. The role of the Association of Legal Historians in the development of modern historical and legal science is shown.
