Annotation
The article discusses civil law ways to protect the business reputation of a legal entity, provided for by the current legislation of the Russian Federation. Debatable questions in the scientific community were identified as problematic aspects to find out whether non-profit organizations, public authorities and public legal entities have the right to protect their business reputation; the problems of legal regulation of the protection of the business reputation of legal entities in the Internet are identified. It is concluded that the current legislation of the Russian Federation provides a fairly wide range of ways to protect the business reputation of legal entities from infringement in the Internet. At the same time, the most understandable and, as a result, common among them is a claim for the protection of business reputation.
