Annotation

The article is devoted to the study of general legal aspects of the regulation of the activities of self-learning systems. The objectives of the work include the analysis of the legal definition and doctrinal interpretation of the term “artificial intelligence”. As part of the study of the category of the subject of law, the debatable issue of the possible legal personality of autonomous algorithms is considered. The methodology is based on a formal legal study of normative legal acts regulating artificial intelligence. The novelty of the topic lies in the fact that the scientific literature lacks a sufficient number of theoretical and legal studies related to the issues of determining the consequences of the functioning of artificial intelligence; for example, whether the algorithm is able to alienate and acquire property, to be responsible for its actions in fully or partly, to dispose of the rights. The article concludes that the concept of a quasi-subject of law as applied will allow to integrate artificial intelligence into the Russian legal system and to provide an opportunity for the development and application of relevant technologies.
