Annotation

The announcement of a new tournament not organized by UEFA by some of European leading football clubs in the spring of 2021 did not come as a bolt from the blue. UEFA has begun looking for a legal basis in its regulation to hold clubs sporting responsibility. In his research the author examines the UEFA Charter and the UEFA Licensing Regulations in order to find possible legal grounds for bringing the Super League host clubs to sporting responsibility.
