Annotation
The article discusses such a complex, contradictory phenomenon as posthumanism. The purpose of the article is to reveal its content, as well as to demonstrate how the ideas of posthumanism affect the understanding of law. The research methodology is a postclassical research program. The article criticizes the posthumanists’ statement about the need to recognize the legal personality of animals and inanimate objects; this approach is recognized as unfounded. At the same time, the article argues that the attitude to nature needs to be reviewed, including the development of legal regulation of human relations to nature. The problem of free will, which is important for jurisprudence, is raised. The position is defended that freedom of will retains its importance for legal personality, even taking into account the latest neuroscientific research in this area.
