Annotation
In the article, the authors conduct a diachronous study of the legal registration of boundary relations, which enables to identify the main trends in the development of norms on landmarking in the context of their legitimation in certain sources of law, to establish the reasons for the rejection of boundary law as an independent branch, and also to predict with a certain degree of probability the direction of further development of legal norms in the boundary area. The authors assess the state of the norms on land landmarking at different stages of the development of Russian law using historical legal and formal legal methods, which made it possible to study the main stages in the formation of landmarking law through sectoral differentiation of its norms from the period of formation of land markinging law and the process up to its systematization in the XIX century.
