LEGAL REGULATION OF INHERITANCE RELATIONS (ON THE OCCASION OF THE 20TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE ADOPTION OF PART III OF THE CIVIL CODE OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION): A REVIEW OF THE INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC AND PRACTICAL CONFERENCE

The article provides an abstract review of the main speeches of the participants of the international scientific and practical conference «Legal regulation of inheritance relations (on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the adoption of part III of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation)», held on November 26, 2021 in the North-Western branch of Russian State University of Justice. It is shown that despite the changes and additions already made, the participants of the conference agreed that there are some problems left in the inheritance legislation. In this regard, they made proposals on improving the rules on the will and the inheritance contract (in terms of establishing their correlation), the order of calling to inherit by law (by including the actual fosterers and foster children in the circle of heirs), inheritance by the surviving spouses in good faith (in case of recognition of marriage invalid after the death of the ancestor), liability of heirs (due to the introduction of a guaranteed minimum property, released from any encumbrances of creditors).
